Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Ashton-under-Lyne
Salary: £18,000-£21,999 DOE

We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an exciting and growing company based in Ashton-under-Lyne on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk you will support the purchase ledger team to ensure timely and accurate payments for goods and services. You will have responsibility for recording these transactions through processing, reconciling, and verifying invoices and statements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing supplier payments, (Running the BACs and CAPEX payments)
  • Maintaining purchase ledgers
  • Handling customer account queries
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Create, maintain and update supplier accounts
  • Managing the period end purchase ledger closure process ensuring all items are posted in a timely manner
  • General support to Payables & Receivables Supervisor and Financial Accountant
  • Processing invoices

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Will have a positive attitude and experience of working collaboratively within a team
  • Will be keen to learn and growth within the company
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have effective time management and experience of working towards deadlines
