Salary: -£25,000- £27,000

Our client is a leader in their field and a global manufacturer based in Heywood. They operate worldwide, have over 3000 employees and last year had a revenue turnover of over £45 million. They are now looking for a purchase ledger clerk to join their growing finance function with some fantastic benefits on offer such as hybrid working and potential to further study.

What does the role involve?

The company is looking for a hard-working individual who can support the day-to-day running of the finance team.

You must have at least three year's previous experience within Purchase Ledger Position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • To code and post purchase invoices and credit notes onto SAP software
  • Raising purchase orders
  • To create and amend vendor details
  • Liaising with suppliers and the purchase department and deal with any queries
  • Regular statement reconciliations
  • Creating payment proposals and posting vendor payments
  • Managing fixed assets
  • To prepare the monthly payment schedule
  • Entering payments on SAP daily and updating weekly cashflow
  • To carry out general finance administration activities
  • Ad hoc reporting as required

Who would be the right fit?

  • At least 3 years' experience working within a purchase ledger role
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of SAP is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical and able to problem solve
