Role: Purchase Ledger Clerk

Salary: £24,000- £26,000

Location: Bury

Our exclusive client is family-run installation and maintenance based in Bury and they are looking for a purchase ledger clerk to join their finance team of 3 to support their further growth plans.

You will be a key member of team within a friendly, fun and hard working finance department. Your main responsibility will include building excellent relationships with suppliers and the internal business ensuring smooth running of the purchase ledger processes.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Managing the accounts payable mailbox
  • Processing incoming purchase invoices
  • Adding department codes to purchase invoices
  • Distributing invoices to management for approval
  • Match up against purchase orders
  • Inputting onto accounts software
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Preparing supplier payment run
  • Reconciling company credit card statements and receipts

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working within an accounts team
  • Previous experience with Sage 50 Accounts or Xero (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly organised and conscientious
  • Team player
