Purchase Ledger Clerk

Role: Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Accrington - 3 days remote working
Salary: £21,000 - £22,000

We are recruiting an excellent opportunity for a purchase ledger clerk based in Accrington offering a competitive salary up to £22,000 and majority hybrid working arrangement (3 days WFH and 2 days in the office). Our client is a quickly growing organisation which makes a difference, who are looking for a friendly and passionate team player to complement the growing finance function. What does the role involve?
This position will include end to end management of the purchase ledger, matching, batching and coding of invoices. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 1 years' experience of the purchase ledger function, ideally including knowledge of GRNI and 3-way-matching. Training will be provided where needed by the existing team.

  • Purchase ledger management working within a small team
  • Processing the monthly payment runs
  • Creating new supplier accounts
  • Approving invoices and making BACS payments
  • Query resolution and statement reconciliations
  • Assisting the wider finance team where needed


Who is suited to this role?
An ideal candidate will be qualified by experience with no qualifications necessary and will have existing experience of accounts payable of a year or more. We are looking for someone with a friendly and personable approach who will aim to grow alongside the company and to contribute to the wider team.
