Salary - Up to £35,000

My client are a public sector based organisation based in Leyland who are looking to secure an experienced Procurement professional to support the Senior Procurement Officer and provide a high quality procurement service to the benefit of both public sector organisations.

  • Assisting in the efficient and effective delivery of the organisations' procurement services.
  • Helping to ensure that procurement is carried out within the Legal requirements, Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, protocols and procedures of each related organisation
  • Assisting the Senior Procurement Officer in the development and implementation of Strategic Procurement Implementation Plans.
  • Being a key contact on all procurement related services.
  • Supporting the development, maintenance, management and operation of systems to ensure the effective monitoring and reporting of the organisations' Procurement activity.
  • Ensuring the achievement of professional standards in providing procurement services.
  • Providing relevant and timely procurement information, advice and guidance to members, corporate management, directors, heads of service and budget holders.
  • Being the Systems Administrator on Procurement systems.
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers.
  • Supporting, developing and coordinating procurement across each organisation and ensuring that all services reflect best practice in procurement.
  • All such other duties, functions and responsibilities as may be conducive, incidental, necessary or appropriate for the discharge of any of the foregoing specific responsibilities and duties.
  • Responsibility for the Graduate Procurement Officer
