Performance Manager

Finance Performance Manager - Merger & Acquisitions (Fully qualified)

Manchester - Hybrid working available (2 days office vs 3 days home)

Salary - Up to £55k dependant upon experience

Our client is a UK leading, rapidly expanding PE backed services business. Owned by a larger group, they have plans to double business turnover in the next 3 years through organic growth and various acquisitions.

The business are currently creating a new group structure with this role sitting across all business divisions, solely responsible for finance governance and bringing the business and new acquisitions into a strong control environment.

The business are looking to secure an experienced and commercially astute finance professional to work alongside the finance team whilst business partnering with the wider business.

Reporting to the Director of Performance & Strategy, this is a key hire within a high performing commercially focused team - you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing and helping influence the day to day performance of the business, focusing predominantly on the top line and balancing the delivery of short term trading targets with longer term strategic objectives.

Key Accountability's

Manage the preparation and development of product and channel level trading analysis on a timely basis to support weekly Executive trading meetings

  • Chairing certain product trading meetings providing headlines and insight around recent performance, providing details on opportunities to support performance improvement and flagging material risks and concerns
  • Collate, distribute and drive through the resolution of performance related actions
  • Deliver detailed, insightful analysis to solve complex business problems and / or to gain a deep understanding of various business dynamics
  • Monitoring and review of an agreed set of performance KPIs across key product and channels
  • Drive through automation of manually produced MI and analysis utilising new Microsoft Power BI tool, including design, stakeholder management and validation of information prior to release to the business
  • Work closely with the pricing and analytics teams to challenge and support commercial decision making e.g Lifetime value (LTV) analysis
  • Develop new and improve existing data sets to support decision making e.g Comparison of ROI (Yr 1 earnings / customer acquisition costs) between product and channels
  • Work closely with marketing teams to challenge attribution models and return on investment calculations
  • Costing analysis and marketing bench marking to support the pricing and implementation of fees and charges
  • Be a go to person to lead on key performance / strategic reviews (e.g. detailed financial / market review of a product within the portfolio)
  • Oversee, working alongside the wider team, post implementation benefits tracking for material strategic projects
  • Development of new performance dashboards (e.g. focused on digital performance)
  • Undertake continuous personal development to ensure that company behaviours are demonstrated effectively and that skills and knowledge are up to date
  • Continue to find ways of improving our own business intelligence, to understand why and what is happening, therefore giving us the insight to affect future outcomes

This role would suit someone looking to focus on the wider commercials of finance, an inquisitive thinker and someone who isn't afraid to challenge and debate with the wider business.

You will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong numerical and analytical skill-set.
