Payroll Specialist EMEA

Payroll Specialist EMEA

Based: Manchester (Failsworth area)

Salary: highly dependent on experience, 25 days + stats (purchase 5 more), company bonus, employee discount, free parking, health cash plan, enhanced pension

Role will be hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home with flexible hours (full time)

Our client are a leading manufacturer and supplier of products to companies around the globe, well known for their market-leading portfolio of brands they supply to retailers in over 160 countries. They continue to grow as a company internationally both organically and through acquisition, sitting in the Fortune 500 rankings in the US. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior payroller to collect and process all payroll information from EMEA countries

You will work alongside the global payroll provider as payroll is outsourced so this is not an end-to-end payroll position. You will collate European payroll information and work with the provider to ensure timely payment

Role:

  • Uploading all EMEA payroll information to payroll platform checking validity of data
  • Reconciling payments against pay register, completing all post payroll activities
  • Process payroll for assigned countries offering excellent customer service to all employees
  • Managing international payroll data through Excel, third party payroll vendors and systems
  • Ensuring all payroll data is in compliance with each region/country specific regulations and corporate policies
  • Audit changes (new starters, leavers, pay changes) that come from payroll platform each pay period to ensure accuracy and minimal enquiries
  • Approve/reject payroll inputs in the payroll system, maintain payroll inputs including court orders and loans
  • Support with reporting, tax filing, vendor requests and running reports/general ledger reports for finance
  • Initiate monthly pay cycles and resolving pay generation issues
  • Reviewing system reports to determine accurate processes, correct any errors and correct processes if needed
  • Assisting with future implementation of new global payrolls

Experience:

  • Able to demonstrate strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP & pivots
  • Ability to analyse payroll information with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience within an EMEA payroll position is essential
