Payroll Officer

Role: Payroll Administrator
Location: Preston
Salary: 22,000-27,000 DOE

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing and market leading manufacturing company based in the sporting industry. Your role will be to ensure the timely payment of the workforce and to ensure the company's staff are enabled to perform at their best.
Our position is great for a candidate with payroll knowledge and an interest within HR. Within this role you will be processing monthly payroll alongside some HR duties such as starters and leavers. An ideal candidate will be proactive and self-motivated, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position of end to end management.

Responsibilities include:

  • End to end payroll
  • Auto enrolment pension scheme
  • Processing new starters and processing leavers - including offer letters, contracts and referencing
  • Liaising with government and ensuring compliance with any changes to legislation, keeping up to date with HMRC requirements
  • Administration of employee benefits such as the incoming cycle to work scheme
  • Creation of reports for management with great presentation
  • Ad hoc duties as required


What we are looking for:

  • High attention to detail
  • Strong ability with Microsoft office - particularly Excel
  • Experience with Sage
  • Friendly personality
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position


For this position, knowledge of IR35 and Furlough is highly desirable - although not essential with training and support on offer where needed.
