Payroll Analyst- part time

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: MacclesfieldSalary: £30000 - £35000 per annum

Payroll Analyst- part time- 3 days or equivalent hours

Based: Macclesfield - hybrid working office/home

Salary: circa £30,000- £35,000 pro rata

Our client, a rapidly expanding, high-growth business based in Macclesfield are currently recruiting for a part time Payroll Analyst to join their sociable and supportive team. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role will be responsible for:

  • Posting payroll journals for the US payroll in various entities
  • Reconciling payroll control accounts on the Balance Sheet
  • Analyse payroll month on month and against budget, by person and department and provide supporting commentary
  • Review, approve and pay expense claims for the global business
  • Assistance with the global audit process
  • Continuous process improvement across the group
  • Ad hoc projects and duties

Requirements of the role:

  • A positive and flexible approach
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a team player
  • Experience posting payroll journals is essential
  • Some knowledge of UK VAT is preferable
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to work with stakeholders
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent attention to detail and excel skills
