The in house teams boasts extensive experience in gas, electricity, and water connections, encompassing service alterations, intelligent upgrades, and supply disconnections.
Role Overview:
As a Network Engineer, you will be a crucial member of the dynamic team, responsible for maintaining, optimising, and expanding the network infrastructure. Your expertise in Cisco and Linux systems will drive the seamless operation of the network, ensuring the highest level of service and support for valued customers. Your role will also encompass involvement in technical support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the network infrastructure, utilising your proficiency in Cisco and Linux systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify network improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Provide exceptional technical support to the internal teams and external clients, addressing network-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, minimising downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of network security measures to safeguard sensitive information.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, suggesting innovative solutions to enhance the network capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment and Linux systems administration.
- Proven track record in network troubleshooting and optimisation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Cisco or Linux certifications (CCNA, CCNP, RHCSA, etc.) are a definite plus.
