Management Accountant

Management Accountant
Darwen - 4 day week (37.5 hours)
Salary - Dependent on experience

Our exclusive client, a UK wide, fast growing manufacturing business is looking for a part qualified/qualified Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. Sitting in a team of 3, you will be reporting into a successful Financial Controller. This is a brand new role due to an internal promotion.

The role is based in Darwen and they operate on a 4 day working week Monday to Thursday. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

Duties are as follows:

  • Maintenance of the monthly reporting pack, including financial and operational analysis
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing accruals, prepayments and all necessary journals
  • Monthly overhead reporting, providing variance analysis and challenging departments to control costs
  • Investigate manufacturing variances
  • Sales & Margin commentary
  • WIP analysis and review with program managers
  • Attendance of project and performance reviews as required
  • Stock reconciliations
  • Review inventory adjustments
  • Invoice finance facility reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • Review quarterly stock provisions for slow and obsolete stock
  • Preparation and Co-ordination of the annual budget
  • Running all month end reports including currency revaluation (out of hours)
  • Analyse and review job cost data for accuracy
  • Review system transactions for accuracy/coding
  • VAT returns
  • Supporting internal stakeholders with management reporting
