Management Accountant - Interim

Based: Bolton

Salary: dependent on experience, excellent opportunities to progress and take on a permanent role as the business grows

9 month FTC. This role is working on a brand new division launch for the business so possibility of permanent thereafter as the business continues to grow

Start date will be beginning of January with interviews happening beginning of December so 1-4 weeks notice will be considered

Our client is a well-known, leading retail business who have experienced rapid growth for the last 10 years. Diversifying into numerous new markets, they are a market leader in their industry with plans to continue offering further products and services across all their divisions. We are currently looking for a hands on Management Accountant to join the team, initially to cover maternity but with strong possibility of becoming permanent due to growth. This role will be looking after the reporting for the newest launched part of the business so an exciting time to join!

Role:

  • Managing month end processes and management accounts for growing division
  • Ownership of weekly P&L reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete ownership of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Implementing and maintaining key financial controls
  • Working closely with the Finance Managers and wider finance team to drive improvements
  • Delivering accurate financial reporting to the business and also external stakeholders
  • Taking ownership of financial reporting and controls for the division
  • Managing an Assistant Accountant to ensure data is provided accurately and timely to Managers
  • The ability to spot process/system improvements and act on them quickly
  • Assisting with any ad-hoc internal projects within the newly growing department

Skills:

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA part qualified or qualified
  • Strong Excel skills including vlookups, pivots and sumifs essential
  • Strong reporting and P&L experience
  • Adaptable to new process changes and able to spot required process improvements
  • Strong communication and confident in your ability
