Based: Blackburn area

Salary: up to £40k dependent on experience, study package, bonus, health cash plan, discounts and more

Our client are a rapidly expanding, PE backed business who have doubled turnover in the last 2 years. With plans to continue growing with recent investment, they are forecasting huge growth over the next 3-4 years continuing to double turnover year on year. We are looking for a strong part-qualified/qualified Accountant with excellent communication skills. This role will oversee junior members work and be instrumental in consolidating group accounts working closely with the Group FC

Role:

• Consolidation of group accounts for month end
• Overseeing month end, ensuring all subsidiary accounts are produced in line with month end timetable
• Manage the process for smaller entities ensuring trial balances are reviewed
• Accurate postings of prepayment and accrual balances
• Posting stock balances, reviewing stock levels across the group ensuring all correct
• Reviewing subsidiaries balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts prior to distribution internally
• Working with subsidiaries - communicating on missing documentation for month end
• Reviewing VAT returns produced by junior team
• Inputting opening balances of newly acquired businesses, maintaining records and producing accurate audit trail
• Producing year end files for subsidiaries, collating for senior management across group
• Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems, suggesting improvements where needed
• Project involvement - new process/system implementations and acquisition involvement over the next 3-4 years
• Ad hoc projects for the FC. FD or CFO

Experience:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified/finalist/qualified
• Experience of month end essential
• Strong communication skills - able to liaise with stakeholders, investors and wider business
• Experience of reviewing month end work would be beneficial
• Experience in a group structure business desirable but not essential
