Management Accountant

Based: Trafford Park. Hybrid working

Our client is a leading services business extremely well-known throughout the North West. Established over 50 years ago the business has grown dramatically over the last few years, sitting as part of a wider group this role will be working within a new, rapidly expanding business division as part of a recent restructure in a newly created role - an excellent opportunity to make it your own and grow within an ambitious business.

We are looking for a qualified/finalist who is keen to join a business who can offer excellent exposure and future opportunities to grow. This role has both strategic area and divisional responsibilities so a great position to enhance your experience

  • Producing and reviewing P&L Account and balance sheet
  • Reporting and preparing monthly board pack for allocated business unit
  • Analytical trial balance review, identifying areas for further investigation
  • Processing specialist journal entries/allocations
  • Detailed variance analysis and producing management accounts
  • Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset registers, journals as prepared by the GL accounts team for a group of entities
  • Assisting Finance Business Partners with quarterly P&L forecasting, budgets and 5 year plans
  • Preparing and reviewing audit packs for annual statutory accounts and preparing stat accounts
  • Supporting Finance Director with year end valuation work
  • Producing monthly divisional consolidations, providing input to external reporting
  • Mentoring and coaching junior staff
  • Supporting Head of Finance with ad-hoc improvement projects and reporting, assisting in developing and driving new procedures and processes

Experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified OR finalist with 1-2 exams remaining
  • Strong management accounts knowledge essential
  • Experience of audit and stat accounts highly desirable
  • Experience from large group business desirable
  • Strong excel and systems knowledge required
