My client is an international leader in the service industry and well-known in their industry. The group are owned by a European company with this role sitting in the UK finance team with revenue circa £500m and the role sitting within a growing finance team alongside the business growth. With growth plans spanning the next 5+ years, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting company and team reporting into the Group Financial Controller who is a fantastic mentor for growth.

Role:

  • Driving efficiencies across fin ace department ensuring group guidelines adhered to
  • Owner of P&L and balance sheet in the overheads and labour area
  • Providing financial reporting including monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Monitoring and analysing products, processes, projects looking at material usage, waste elimination, labour efficiency, overhead absorption and providing recommendations to improve cost control and performance
  • Working closely with key stakeholders ensuring information correct to support their requirements
  • Preparing P&L, balance sheet and ensuring relevant GL postings maintaining monthly reconciliations
  • Assisting with annual audit and statutory reporting, preparing company accounts, ONS returns relevant to your division
  • Working with wider finance team to ensure timely delivery of month and year end
  • Assisting in the development and monitoring of KPI's to track business performance

Experience:

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ambitious, driven and with a proactive mindset towards personal and professional growth
  • Analytical mindset able to interpret data
