Management Accountant

Based: Manchester

Salary: circa £50k + 25 days + stats, wellbeing & social events, pension, progression opportunities

Our client is a world leader and innovator in the design, engineering and manufacturing of high quality products. With over 1000 staff globally across 8+ manufacturing sites, this role will sit within the UK finance team, directly under the Finance Director. We are looking for a qualified or finalist Accountant looking to work in a fantastic team in a newly created position to support business growth, playing a crucial role in the finance function.

Role:

  • Ownership of 3 group companies, acting as an advisor to the management team and business partnering with key stakeholders across the company
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and forecast for yearly outturn
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure timely returns on VAT and payroll
  • Business partnering to key stakeholders, offering financial information to aid decision making
  • Audit contact for statutory audits across UK & Europe
  • Weekly and monthly financial reporting across the entities
  • Interrogating numbers, deep diving into issues and problem solving
  • Ad hoc tasks with the FD on various projects

Experience:

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified OR Finalist (study package available)
  • Tenacious attitude, keen to learn and develop
  • Experience within engineering/manufacturing desirable but not essential
  • Cash management experience including forecasting
  • Inter-company & consolidation work beneficial
  • Strong Excel skills
