Based: Rochdale area

Salary: up to £50k + benefits including enhanced pension, 25 days + stats, flexible working hours, hybrid working and 1.30pm finish on a Friday

Our client is a world leading manufacturing business based in the Rochdale area. The business are extremely well-known for their design, manufacture and servicing of systems for various industries. Having grown year on year for the past 10 years, this position will sit in one of their business units looking after all site finance for a site with turnover circa £12m. Reporting into a Head of Finance, you will act as number 2 on site looking after a team of 2 staff

The business are hugely passionate about hiring a person with the right attitude who is keen to learn, develop with excellent training & development provided under a great Head of Finance who has also progressed herself through the group in multiple roles

Role:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts for £12m turnover site providing to the Head of Finance for review and sending to group
  • Supervising a team of 2 across AP/AR and accounts admin
  • Preparing cash flow forecasts, tracking and analysis of those
  • Investigating financial trends and financial statement variances, discussing findings internally
  • Maintaining product costs to enable accurate inventory valuation and product margin analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with local tax authorities and government reporting requirements including import/export matters VAT
  • Assisting with the annual audit preparing audit schedules and reports
  • Tracking fixed assets and depreciation schedules for financial reporting, tax compliance and insurance
  • Budgeting annual and implementing ways to reduce costs business-wide

Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant ACCA/CIMA OR strong finance experience and part-qualified/finalist
  • Strong management accounts and finance experience including accruals, prepayments, bank recs
  • Confident and keen to learn/develop
  • Manufacturing exposure would be desirable but not essential
