Based: Blackburn area

Salary: circa £45k dependent on experience, holidays, pension, excellent opportunities to progress

Our client are a rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Blackburn. Growing organically and through acquisition over the last 10 years, they have quadrupled turnover and are forecasting continued growth for the next few years. Due to growth, a new position has been created for a Management Accountant to join the team. Role will report into the Head of Finance and provides a fantastic opportunity to progress through the business as they continue to grow!

Role:

• Ensuring key month end and day to day finance activities across the business
• Reporting into Head of Finance providing effective cash flow management
• Delivering on time financial results including journals, month end close, key line items, P&L reporting
• Ownership of inventory, costing and margin reporting including variance analysis for sales channels and manufacturing
• Working with departmental heads to support key processes and develop commercial understanding
• First point of review for monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Lead process of process documentation and controls to ensure consistency
• Assisting in key stages of new system implementation and upgrade programmes
• Improving and developing key controls and processes
• Supporting on statutory reporting and audit requirements

Experience:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or Finalist. First time practice movers ACA/ACCA also
• Manufacturing experience highly desirable
• Organised and able to prioritise
• Passionate to progress, learn & develop
• Strong Excel skill
