Our client is a global, fast growing business based in Bury, due to recent growth and an internal promotion they are looking to add a Ledger Manager to their tea on a permanent basis, managing a team of 4 and reporting into the Financial Controller.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a small team and have experience in a high volume accounts payable role.

Some of the duties include:

  • Managing functions including the accounts payable, subcontractors ledger and accounts receivable.
  • Ultimately responsible for integrity of payments runs across the entity ledgers
  • Dealing with escalated queries in a timely and respectful manner
  • Maintenance of the ERP system and using Excel to report on ledger
  • Working with the Finance team to improve processes
  • Monthly CIS and HMRC returns
  • Managing company expenses and credit card processes
  • Working closely with Procurement and Commercial departments to resolve processing, ledger and payment queries
  • Staff management of the transactional team
