Interim Finance Manager

Based: Bolton

Salary: circa £60k dependent on experience. 3 month interim role with possible extension

WFH with flexibility

Our client is a well-known, leading retail business who have experienced rapid growth for the last 10 years. Diversifying into numerous new markets, they are a market leader in their industry with plans to continue offering further products and services across all their divisions. We are currently looking for a hands on Interim Finance Manager to join the team, this role will head up a £150m division of the group, managing a team and all finances for the division, reporting into group.

Role:

  • Managing finance team - developing staff and reviewing work to ensure accuracy
  • Providing monthly financial results for the division, reporting into Group Finance
  • Monthly management accounts - accruals, prepayments, journals, reconciliations
  • Business Partnering with budget holders and senior managers, guiding and challenging commercial decisions
  • Working closely with commercial finance to ensure all projections match outgoings
  • Data analysis, ensuring monthly calls with budget holders to ensure they understand financial and operational performance & KPI's
  • Consolidating, manipulating and presenting data extracted from ledgers, payroll, HR producing information to influence business outcomes
  • Ensuring financial KPI's for all business functions are highlighted on key trends
  • Preparing all budgets and forecasts, supporting budget holders through process
  • Producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting for budget holders, Directors or CFO

Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified essential
  • Strong management accounts and extensive finance experience essential
  • Ability to hit the ground running and be hands on in your role
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships internally
  • Advance Excel skills essential - data manipulation, analysing and presenting

This role is a 3 month contract so you must be immediately available to start
