HR Assistant

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: WiganSalary: £19000 - £22000 per annum

An opportunity has arisen for a HR Assistant to join a well-established HR team based in Skemersdale. The role is on a full time, permanent basis. The role is a generalist HR position where you will work as part of a wider team on the following areas:

  • Being responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle.
  • Providing advice and support on all people related matters with involvement in disciplinary, investigations and grievance meetings, ensuring the processes are managed in line with policy.
  • Responding to queries, being responsible for personal time management and allocating time correctly. Escalating queries to the HR Manager as and when required.
  • Maintaining and promoting relationships with the wider people, support colleagues and teams.
  • Overseeing the HR processes, policies and procedures, ensuring they are legally compliant.
  • Proactively working with managers to minimise absence across the business.
  • Participating in performance management and sickness management meetings, providing HR advice.
  • Supporting the HR Manager in processing the monthly payroll.

My client is looking for a self-motivated individual who has the ability to use their own initiative having had experience working in a HR Administrative role or a role in administration with a desire to pursue HR. The salary would be £19,000-£22,000 dependant on experience. You must demonstrate a professional and positive approach to work with the ability to work pro-actively.
