HR and Health and Safety Manager

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: CheshireSalary: £30000 - £40000 per annum

A fantastic opportunity has come up for a HR and Health and Safety Manager to join a successful business based in Deeside. The role is on a full time, permanent basis. The role requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment, the role will entail the following:

  • Managing all day to day HR functions and activities for both sites, overseeing all employees. (Holiday reporting, timesheets, sickness, lateness, employee queries ect.)
  • Providing support and advice to all senior and line management in relation on all aspects of HR.
  • Managing company training functions and ensuring training records are updated and current
  • Advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies and co-ordinating the appointment process for successful applicants
  • Providing support and advice on policies, procedures or legislation changes
  • Updating and implementing new HR processes and systems to ensure a smooth running of HR process throughout the business
  • General administration duties (updating spreadsheets, minute meetings, creating and issuing acquired letters/invitations, archiving in line with schedule of records)
  • Responsibility for reviewing, updating, and maintaining all aspects in relation to Fire Safety, risk assessments, manual handling and other aspects of H&S
  • Producing COSHH assessments in accordance with material safety datasheets, including contractual works, method statements and evaluation of sub-contractors
  • Reporting incidents to HSE, dealing with HSE site visits, enquiries

My client is looking for a self-motivated individual who has the ability to use their own initiative having had extensive experience working in a HR role. The salary would be up to £40,000 dependant on experience. You must demonstrate a professional and positive approach to work with the ability to work pro-actively.
