Head of HR

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Head of HR to join a market leading business. This role will have full responsibility for UK HR operation as well as working as part of a team to support the European operation. As a part of the senior management team you will provide strategic leadership and expertise, devising and implementing strategy that will maximise performance and delivery of the business plan.


Below are some of the areas that you will take responsibility for in the UK operation:

  • Effectively delivering people policies and processes (i.e. recruitment, performance management, talent management, absence management) in line with best practice
  • Taking responsibility for developing HR processes for the business and ensuring all company policies are up to date and in line with current employment law
  • Providing advice, guidance, coaching and hands-on support for managers and employees across a wide range of complex/challenging people matters
  • Working with the senior management team to ensure optimal resourcing levels are maintained, challenging the status quo and participating in/leading recruitment initiatives as appropriate. Monthly reporting to ensure headcount is in line with plan
  • Supporting managers with people-related change activities.
  • Actively driving employee engagement and improving employee communication
  • Line managing a small team
  • Reporting on all KPI's and people metrics including production and presentation of the board pack


Below are some of the areas that you will take responsibility for in the European operation:

  • Key contact for all HR topics in the Region for Global HR and the Regional Management
  • Implementing and ensuring a strong network in the countries with the local HR contacts as well as the local management
  • Responsible for developing and steering the Regional HR strategy in line with the global company strategy
  • Providing legal support to the Regional Committee in special cases in cooperation with external consultants if needed
