Head of FInance (Part Time 25 hours)

Head of Finance

Based: Cheshire

Salary: circa £70k + bonus + 10% pension + private healthcare + benefits

20-25 hours per week, worked over 3,4,5 days to suit

My client is a rapidly expanding, hugely successful, global manufacturing business. The company manufacture hundreds of products that are utilized globally and pride themselves on their high quality products and service, shipping items in from around the world and manufacturing for UK and global customers. This role will be based from their manufacturing & warehouse site in Cheshire as part of the management team reporting directly to the CEO, working closely with other departments to ensure business runs smoothly

We are looking for a hands on, capable and confident head of finance to lead the finance function, develop staff and utilize their finance knowledge to implement new processes/procedures inline with group ensuring strong external relationships with all providers for tax, HMRC, stat accounts, audit etc.

Role:

  • Leading and developing small finance team ensuring their growth and development
  • Overseeing all finance activities including purchase, sales pricing, investments, debt managements, accounts payable/receivable
  • Providing recommendations to the CEO and commercial team/board from a finance perspective
  • Preparing financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting
  • Preparing financial reports, variance analysis, sales/purchase/production analysis and liaising with department mangers to lead on department decisions
  • Reviewing, updating regular debtors, creditors, accruals, prepayments
  • Tracking cashflow and analysing any risks/strengths, proposing actions pro-actively
  • Managing FX, tracking exchange rates and deciding on hedging/forware cover
  • Group company reporting, consolidation of accounts, HMRC reports and filings
  • Supporting group CFO to prepare statutory and compliance reports in line with requirements of group company (listed business)
  • Acting as a finance business partner to the board, CEO, group and department heads
  • Implementation/change of ERP system and migration, optimizing and improving finance processes

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant
  • Strong statutory accounts/audit/overall finance knowledge
  • Experience within a manufacturing/chemicals/pharmaceuticals environment (stock)
  • Import/export/FX knowledge highly desirable
  • Pro-active, keen to change/implement new processes and procedures
