Head of Finance

My client, a manufacturer and distributor of fast moving consumer goods is looking to recruit a Head of Finance. Reporting into the CFO this will be give you access to amazing mentors, both the CFO and CEO have outstanding track records in their respective fields.

Having grown by 70% in the last 3 years both organically and via acquisition this role gives you exposure to working in a PLC business whilst still being ran very entrepreneurially so you will get the best of both worlds. This role will suit a qualified accountant who is looking for their last role before moving to be a Finance Director. Key focuses will include:

  • Managing a team of 7 direct reports across financial and commercial finance
  • Business partnering with all department heads and business units to monitor performance and spend
  • Oversee all business wide formal reporting
  • Own the entire group annual budget process including the integrated Excel reporting model
  • Financially review and assess all business opportunities including new products and acquisitions
  • Work closely with the CEO on mid month sales and margin performance to stay on top of business performance regularly

Suitable candidates must be ACA qualified having had at least one role in industry, be able to demonstrate experience of heading up everything from financial controls through to business partnering and M& A and ideally having worked in a high growth acquisitive environment. In terms of sector whilst having had exposure to a stock centric business would be ideal the core value of 'attitude is everything' means they are open minded on background.
