Head of Finance

Head of Finance

Based: Warrington/Liverpool area

Salary: up to £65k + benefits including private healthcare + opportunities to progress

I am working with a fantastic, family owned manufacturingbusiness based in the Liverpool area (albeit opening a new Head Office in Warrington). Business have grown over the last few years to circa £50m as a group, at max capacity they are looking to open a brand new head office and extend 2 of their manufacturing sites in 2023 to allow them to continue to grow over the next 3-5 years.

This is a fantastic opportunity, reporting into the FD as number 2 in finance in a brand new role. Offering loads of board exposure and the chance to lead and develop a team of 3 whilst heavily involved in a system/ERP upgrade in the near future.

Role:

  • Responsible for all UK financial reporting, systems and finance team
  • Producing monthly management accounts, forecasts, detailed analysis for presentation to group
  • Statutory accounts, management accounts pack and corporate reporting
  • Financial policy implementation regarding capital, debt, taxation, pension and insurance management,
  • Production of annual budgets, annual statutory accounts and monthly forecast working within the UK,
  • Contribute to the company strategy across all areas of the UK business, providing financial analysis and guidance for all activities,
  • Ensure company financial systems are robust, support current activities with a view to upgrade systems/ERP in the near future
  • Work with managers and the Board of Directors to grow business sales and profitability,
  • Management of cash / working capital,
  • Maintain credibility and manage strong working relationships with external advisors,

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified - essential
  • Previous experience in a Financial Controller/Head of Finance role
  • Experience working within an SME environment
  • Strong Excel skills, ideally previous experience of an ERP/system implementation or upgrade
  • Good Manager with the ability to develop and train a small finance team of 3
  • Confident and competent in your approach, able to work with senior executives and department heads daily
