Head of Finance

Head of Finance

Based: Manchester centre

Salary: circa £65k dependent on experience. Benefits including fantastic bonus, private healthcare and more

Hybrid working - 1 day a week in the office (other ad-hoc meetings through the week) and flexible working hours

I am exclusively working with a rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial business based in the heart of Manchester. Having built up their finance team, we know the company well and this role will be leading that team, working closely with the CFO/CEO on business growth providing an exciting opportunity for someone to grow, develop and gain strong exposure from day 1. The business pride themselves on culture, collaborative ideas on growth/change from everyone so there is a great opportunity to add value from the start. Currently going through a funding round, they have ambitious plans to double turnover in 2-3 years with this role playing a key part in that growth

Role:

  • Working alongside the founders and executive team to develop the business, pushing towards doubling turnover in the next 2-3 years
  • Manage and lead the accounting function, managing all external service providers
  • Delivering periodic and quarterly financial reporting to exec team, board and partners
  • Delivering monthly financial, portfolio reporting and management accounts
  • Delivery of annual financial projections, forecasts and budgets
  • Managing company bank accounts and payment processes
  • Managing all compliance and controls within finance
  • Dealing with new and existing customers on reporting, proactively supporting them in delivery
  • Ownership of annual statutory accounts prep and leading on annual financial audit
  • Supporting CEO, COO and CFO on business growth and opportunity

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant with strong experience
  • Strong excel and reporting is essential (ability to create dashboards in Excel desirable)
    Strong data analysis experience required
  • Excellent communication skills - personable and articulate
