Based: Denton area

Salary: circa £55k, car allowance, private healthcare, 25 days holiday rising to 28 and excellent opportunities

Hybrid working, hours typically 8am-4.30pm with flex either side

Our client is a UK leading manufacturing and wholesale business based in the Tameside area. The business are part of a global group recognised in over 100 countries worldwide, this role sits within the UK business consisting of 3 companies acting as number 2 to the Finance Director

The business are continuing to grow, looking at future acquisitions so this role would be an exciting opportunity for a qualified Accountant who wants broad exposure in a number 2 role

Role:

• Management and control of the finance team on day to day activities
• Work with the FD to manage the cash flow requirement of the company and group
• Preparation of the monthly financial reporting for UK Group of companies
• Posting accruals and prepayments, stock reconciliations, expenses recharges to group
• Reconciliation of sales and purchase ledger
• Responsible for the monthly reporting of company and group performance to directors and other stakeholders
• Production of annual statutory accounts for the UK entities
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, working with department heads on ad-hoc projects
• Review the business operation and identify areas for improvement
• Deal with the companies tax compliance requirement both UK and international
• First POC for external auditors and tax advisors
• Production of the UK company statutory accounts

Experience:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Team management experience highly desirable
• Wholesale/manufacturing experience desirable but not essential
• Hands on approach, energetic and enthusiastic to drive business forward
• Year end/audit experience essential
• Strong Excel skills
