Finance Manager

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: BlackburnSalary: £45000 - £55000 per annum

Role: Finance Manager – Progression to FC within 2-3 years
Salary – Up to 55k depending on experience

Hours: Full-Time - Hybrid


Our exclusive client, a growing manufacturing business based in Blackburn is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This position is being recruited due to significant growth and to help support their 5 year plan towards even bigger success. You will ensure that key month end and day to day activities are complete in a robust and timely manner. The role will also act as a key supporting role for Head of Finance but also play a key role in effective treasury and cash flow management in addition to statutory reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant/Finance Manager looking to join a supportive business with a structured progression plan.


Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Finance in delivering first time right on time financial results including journals, month end close, key line items P&L reporting
  • Ownership of inventory, costing and margin reporting including variance analysis for all sales channels and manufacturing
  • Work with departmental heads to support key business processes and develop commercial and operational understanding
  • Ownership of key audit deliverables for responsible areas
  • Provide the Head of Finance with concise, and clear updates and ensure all issues are escalated in a timely manner
  • Support Head of Finance in ensuring a strong controls environment
  • First point of review for monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead process of process documentation and controls for all assigned areas and ensure consistency across all documented processes
  • Maintain and improve standardisation of tasks and processes
  • Assisting in key stages of system implementations/upgrade programmes
  • Other Adhoc projects


Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) (first time movers from practice will be considered)
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
