FP&A Manager

FP&A Manager

Based: Manchester

Salary: dependent on experience, excellent opportunities to progress in a fast-paced, growing business.

Our client is a rapidly expanding Ecommerce/Retail business who have experienced exponential growth over the last 10 years. The business has completed multiple acquisitions with further M&A activity planned. Their global growth strategy over the last 5 years now sees their brand present in over 100 countries around the world. Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced FP&A Manager. We are looking for a driven, forward thinking candidate who has experience from the Retail/Ecommerce/FMCG world, keen to working in a growing company offering excellent opportunities for the future

You must be assertive with strong people skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. This role will be FP&A, reporting but also with a strong commercial element working closely with all business departments

Role:

  • Leading a small team including appraisals and development
  • Manage and delivering group quarterly reforecast cycle including additionally planning and support for business peak period
  • Forecast to deliver P&L across all divisions
  • Group balance sheet and cash flow forecasting with full supporting analysis
  • Identify and manage key risks and opportunities
  • Updating 10 year plans across all business divisions on a 6 monthly cycle
  • Integration and standardisation of newly acquired businesses to the group
  • Daily and weekly reporting on group trade performance
  • Updating groups cash flow model for FX hedging, supporting Group FC with reviewing
  • Supporting group finance with overhead reviews and business partnering
  • Providing analysis for business cases and new commercial proposals
  • Working with colleagues internally to deliver rolling short term volume forecasts to enable efficient resource planning
  • Working closely with management accounts to reconcile month end variances to forecasts
  • Ad hoc project analysis when required

Experience:

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with post qualified experience
  • Ecommerce/Retail/FMCG experience essential
  • Strong financial modelling & analytical skills to produce & present meaningful data
  • Confident communicator, able to deal with and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing multi-currency in a global business highly desirable
  • Understanding of trade margins and experience of trade reporting highly desirable
  • Experience of group/divisional reporting highly desirable
