FP&A Manager

FP&A Manager

Based: Preston

Salary: circa £55k dependent on experience, excellent benefits and opportunities within an expanding group business

Our client is a fast progressing, growing, successful business based in Lancashire. Successfully placing 3 senior finance staff with them last year to assist with their growth/transformation plans they are an excellent business to work for, providing opportunities for future growth internally and excellent exposure at all levels. We are looking for a qualified Accountant strong technically on reporting & trend analysis and proven experience working with large data sets.

Role:

  • Lead on the group annual budget process, consolidating business areas and company budgets. Producing budgets, forecasts, plans and cash flows for presentation to board
  • Driving improvement in the planning & budgeting across the group and subsidiaries, implementing new processes and systems to increase efficiencies
  • Lead on the long term planning process for 10 year plans for both consolidated group and individual entities
  • Lead on cash flow forecasting process, including production and analysis - driving improvement at both individual entity and group level
  • Analysis of current and historic data to identify trends and patterns in group performance to aid decision making
  • Develop performance insights incorporating management reporting and analysis of performance, risk and opportunities
  • Benchmarking group performance against internal and external metrics
  • Creating, updating and maintaining financial models and scenario planning to support strategic decision making
  • Develop analysis and make recommendations to improve financial performance - cost savings, income generation, investment decisions.
  • Providing constructive financial advice and support, contributing to development of strategy across all levels of the group
  • Preparing periodic analysis an presentation materials to support senior management decision making
  • Developing strong relationships with the wider group, supporting with FP&A information

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with post qual experience
  • Experience within FP&A and ownership of an annual budgeting process
  • Ability to recognise differing financial risks in a large rage of businesses to deploy financial reporting and control accordingly
  • Strong technical ability - reporting and trend analysis experience essential
  • Experience of improving processes/awareness of improvements to be made within a team
