Financial Controller - Tech/Software + equity

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: ManchesterSalary: £60000 - £80000 per annum + equity - bonus

Financial Controller

Based: home based, 100% remote working (MUST be based in the UK to be considered with UK experience)

Salary: circa £70 + bonus + future equity + benefits

I am currently working with a fantastic, rapidly expanding tech/AI/software business entering a hugely exciting phase of growth with their 4 year plan to become a Unicorn. With an impressive range of products and product pilots starting in the UK this year, this is a fantastic time to join the business to be instrumental in their growth over the next 3-4 years and also gain equity along the way.

This role will report to the CFO, undertaking all aspects of financial management as well as development and implementation of internal control policies and procedures. We are looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager/Financial Controller keen to utilise their skills in the next stage of their career

Role:

  • Ownership of all corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts
  • Developing internal control policies and procedures and financial risk management
  • Managing all accounting operations across Billing, AP, AR, GL, Cost accounting and revenue recognition under IFRS
  • Co-ordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, reporting on variances
  • Preparing and publishing monthly financial statements, preparing regulatory reporting
  • Supporting month end and year end close process
  • Ensuring quality control over all financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Supporting CFO on various projects as they arise

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Financial Controller/Finance Manager
  • Experience within a tech/SAAS/software business essential
  • Experience creating financial statements, GL functions and month end/year end close process
  • Excellent Excel and analytics experience
