Job Title: Financial Controller
Salary: 60K PLUS 20% BONUS

This is an exclusive opportunity to join a growing and successful business based in Bury. Our client is an innovative business looking to expand their finance team, this is a new position within the team due to the recent growth. An exciting company offering great progression and the chance to work with an impressive Finance Director, we are looking for a strong Management Accountant looking to take a step up or a Financial Controller with proven management experience to lead a team of 4 and work with the FD in a broader business capacity.


This is a modern working atmosphere with a refurbished office and free onsite parking, offering a great working environment with fantastic company benefits on offer.

What does the role involve?

Reporting directly into the FD:

  • Ensuring the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts
  • Managing relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other parties
  • Establishing & maintaining highly focused analysis of business performance across all core business dimensions, with identifiable actions undertaken
  • Provide support to key projects when called upon to enable data to be understood, insight gleaned, and better solution delivered
  • Lead the wider finance team to ensure continuous improvement in controls, efficiency and ways of working. Drive for consistency and best practice. Identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the businesses cashflow ensuring stakeholders are regularly updated.

Who would be the right fit?

  • Part/fully qualified or QBE - our client is open to profiles
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Friendly personality and strong communication skills
