Financial Controller - Manufacturing

Financial Controller

Based: South Manchester

Salary: circa £60k dependent on experience, car allowance, 20% bonus + benefits

Our client are a leading manufacturing business based in South Manchester. A family owned business, they are extremely well known for their diverse products supplying to the UK and European retail and foodservice industry. A growing, medium sized business, this role will sit as number 2 to the Finance Director, leading a small team of Accountants and transactional staff.

Role:

  • Working with the senior team strategically and operationally to provide timely and accurate financial information
  • Leadership of the finance team - 1-1's, performance reviews and development and training
  • Ensuring business has sound financial processes and internal controls
  • Leading financial planning processes budgeting and forecasting and analysing performance of manufacturing sites in line with business plan
  • Recommending improvements on revenue, costs and margins - influencing commercial decisions within the business
  • Developing and leading on financial reporting in terms of systems, tools and processes
  • Monthly re-forecasting against P&L and cash flow, advising Directors on change
  • Managing cash and cash availability, ensuring working capital control
  • Driving improvements in relation to interpretation of financial performance
  • Managing all statutory requirements

Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified Accountant with post qual experience
  • Manufacturing experience is essential
  • Strong people manager with the ability to develop
  • Objectives led with process improvement experience
