Based: Preston area

Salary: highly dependent on experience

Our client are a well-established company based in Preston providing a number of services to the wider Manchester community for over 100 years. They have expanded in the last 7 years to triple to staff, turnover and coverage they offer always looking to expand their services to as many communities as possible. This role will sit as part of the senior leadership team as number 1 in finance reporting directly to the CEO.

Role:

• Lead all things finance, assisting with delivery of organisational objectives through financial management
• Managing 2 junior staff ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently across purchase invoicing, sales invoicing and bank reconciliations
• Providing strategic financial information including forecasts, cashflow forecasting and financial growth plans to the CEO and board
• Producing finance reports for the SLT and trustees
• Ensure the finance function is efficient and effective, reviewing and streamlining processes where needed
• Analysing income from grants, fundraising and other earned income to manage cashflow
• Managing individual project budgets including reporting to funders on expenditure
• Producing quarterly management accounts, presenting at quarterly board meetings
• Preparing for annual audit and annual accounts prep, acting as first POC internally
• Preparing and leading on annual budgets and financial statements
• Working with the CEO on tender and bid processes

Experience:

• ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Experience in a Finance Manager/Financial Controller role essential
• Confident to present in board meetings
• Staff management experience ideal
