Our client are a leading retailer with a strong brand spanning throughout the UK and globally. Due to continuous growth and future acquisition plans, we are looking for a strong Financial Reporting Manager to join the team working in the UK business and finance team

Role:

• Managing a team of 5-6 people across management accounting function
• Working closely with Group Finance & CFO delivering on finance strategies and reporting
• Management of month end accounts including full packs and commentary
• Ensuring good financial control - timely close of month end ledgers, preparing reporting and balance sheet and control review
• Develop strong cross functional partnerships with departments within the group
• Supporting team with budgets, forecasts and financial planning & analysis
• Ensuring statutory accounts are completed, filed and adhering to IFRS standards
• Maintain oversight of audit, financial reporting and month end within your remit
• Ad-hoc projects working with group including system implementations and enhancing processes & procedures

Experience:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with experience in a Financial Controller role
• Strong team management skills
• Proven process improvement exposure
• Advanced Excel skills
• Logical and tenancious approach, able to adapt quickly and efficicently to changing situations
• Commercial awareness and strong business acumen essential
