Financial Controller

Financial Controller

Based: East Lancashire area

Salary: highly dependent on experience, excellent opportunities for progression

Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in East Lancashire who have created a new role for a commercially astute, forward-thinking Financial Controller to support their newly appointed Finance Director. This role will look after group finances for a business about to embark on an exciting phase of change to grow and develop for the future.

Reporting into the Finance Director, we are looking for someone who can drive change internally, create and develop new processes and report/analyse finances/data to enable the best future possible for the business

Role:

  • Business partnering internally, building strong relationships across the group
  • Producing management accounts for the group including reporting and analysis
  • Cash flow control, working capital management and creation of KPI reporting
  • Managing stock and margin across the business
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Implementing new processes and robust procedures within finance
  • Overseeing transaction processing systems and accounting operations for all business subsidiaries
  • Calculating variance from budgets and reporting on changes to management
  • Ensure all finance duties are completed for month end - delegating and leading a small finance team
  • Assisting Finance Director in creating the companys future direction, developing new measures to support growth
  • Creating new and improved systems and processes including reporting and data analysis
  • Completing financial statements and MI, presenting at board meetings regularly
  • Providing financial analysis for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations
  • Co-ordinating external auditors for audits, complying with all tax regulation filings
  • Maintaining bank and stakeholder relationships

Experience:

  • Self-motivated, ambitious and forward thinking Financial Controller
  • Experience of process improvement and driving change within a business
  • Strong relationship builder and the ability to operate at board level
  • Strong Excel and IT knowledge
