Financial Controller ACA

Financial Controller ACA

Based: Lancashire

Salary: highly dependent on experience, excellent benefits including 31 days holiday + stats, enhanced pension, split office/home working and flexible hours

Our client is a leading, global business based in Lancashire. The company have embarked on a global expansion over the last few years inncluding numerous acquisitions and further M&A activity planned for the rest of 2021 and years to come. Due to expansion we have recruited a number of people over the last 2-3 years into the growing finance team and we are now looking for an experienced, ACA qualified Financial Controller to join the business

Role:

  • Managing all group reporting deadlines for monthly and rolling forecast process
  • Managing group timetable and balancing with statutory timetable
  • Key contact for group finance on all reporting matters
  • Managing external and internal audit stakeholders
  • Communicating results to UK FD on a monthly basis, explaining key variances
  • Managing a team of 5 to ensure all tasks are completed timely and efficiently for month end
  • Ensuring monthly VAT/intrastst returns an financial legal requirements are on time
  • Managing all areas of UK tax calculations
  • Ensuring all statutory requirements are performed on a timely basis
  • Business partnering with commercial & procurement on all issues, driving improvements in working capital
  • Managing indirect wider finance team and SSC relationship to ensure daily operational effectiveness is maintained
  • Maintaining and implementing financial controls and robust balance sheet controls

Experience:

  • ACA qualified from practice - 2nd or 3rd time mover
  • Experience working in a large business and managing a team
  • UK GAAP experience highly desirable
  • Tax/VAT knowledge highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Forward thinking and keen to develop in a global business
