Financial Controller

Financial Controller

Based: Farnworth area, Bolton

Salary: up to £65k dependent on experience + benefits + hybrid working

Our client is a growing SME business who supply products to retailers across the UK. We are looking or a Financial Controller who will take the number 1 role on site in Bolton whilst reporting to the Group FD. We are looking for a strong Financial Controller who has experience leading a team and all round finance exposure across controls, management accounts, audit, process change/improvement. You must have a commercial edge with a desire for this business to increase their commercial/business partnering capabilities across the company.

Role:

  • Mentoring a team of three to ensure productivity and growth
  • Producing month end management accounts for the UK company
  • Leading on year end accounts liaising with external accountants
  • Liaising with the bank quarterly, ensuring accurate financials are submitted
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensuring key financial data is distributed to all internal business managers/stakeholders
  • Cash flow modelling and forecasting
  • Managing invoice discounting and credit insurers for the business
  • Ensuring debtor book and supplier payments are managed by the team
  • Work with the FD on various ad hoc projects across the group
  • Responsible for the monthly reporting of company performance to directors and other stakeholders
  • Review the business operation and identify areas for improvement

Experience:

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
  • Experience of leading a small team and mentoring staff
  • Experience within an SME is essential (10-100m turnover)
  • Looking to take on a role that will grow and keen to change/develop along the way!
