Financial Controller

Bolton

Salary – Negotiable depending on experience, hybrid working, flexible hours

Our exclusive client, based in Bolton is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing the finance function of 4, for a professional services group from their head office. Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar role and have managed a small team before.

Some of the duties are below:

  • Managing finance across multiple entities by ensuring accounting processes and controls are in place
  • Managing 4 members of staff in the finance department
  • Production of the month end management accounts pack including all associated analysis and commentary for a number of limited liability partnerships and limited companies
  • Liaising with the auditors and facilitating the smooth running of the audit process
  • Production of short term cash flow forecasts
  • Preparation of meaningful budgets
  • Overview of day to day affairs including payroll and expenses management, vat returns, ledger management, being able to assist in the event of staff absence
  • Responsible for improving credit control procedures and formalising processes
  • Working with operational managers and partners throughout the year to ensure commercial understanding and that budgets are implemented and delivered
  • Support with ongoing projects
