Based: Salford area

Salary: £55k-£65k dependent on experience, bonus, benefits and opportunity to progress in a growing business under a fantastic CFO. Hybrid working 

Our client is a growing service business who have increased turnover 50% in the last year with 2021 at circa £200m. The business is family owned, hugely successful and made up of a highly experienced team which pride themselves on consistently delivering high quality services across their remit. The business will continue to grow over the next few years and we are looking for a qualified, experienced Financial Controller to sit as number 2 to the CFO, leading a team. This would be an excellent opportunity for a competent Finance Manager looking to step up into a role offering more responsibilities.

Role:

• Mentoring a team of 7 to ensure productivity and growth, regular performance reviews and training/development
• Producing month end management accounts for the company
• Leading on year end accounts and audit with auditors, first POC for any queries
• Liaising with the bank quarterly, ensuring accurate financials are submitted
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Ensuring key financial data is distributed to all internal business managers/stakeholders
• Cash flow modelling and forecasting
• Ensuring debtor book and supplier payments are managed by the team
• Assisting with new system development and roll-out to improve efficiencies within finance

Experience:

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified Accountant with post qualified experience
• Experience of leading a small team and mentoring staff
• Audit involvement highly desirable
• Hands on approach whilst also working with senior leadership team to grow business
