Financial Accountant- Qualified
Location: Trafford- hybrid working available
Salary: up to circa £50,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits package
Our client is a leading, ambitious services & property business, extremely well-known throughout the North-West. The business has grown dramatically over the last few years; joining the Corporate finance team, this role is responsible for the management and financial reporting at Group level. Responsibilities within the team include production of Group reporting, overhead reporting, audit management, production of multiple group consolidations and bank compliance amongst other duties.
We are looking for a driven Accountant, ideally newly qualified, with extensive experience in practice and keen to continue developing in a business.
Responsibilities include:
- Production of Group consolidated balance sheet with high level summary of areas of exposure, opportunity, risk etc - to be presented monthly to management
- Balance sheet analytical review, scrutinising the figures and querying
- Balance sheet reconciliation, including supporting schedules and detailed narrative anomalies/concerns
- Review of fixed asset registers
- Production of P&L for specified set of companies
- Ownership of specific accounting areas within the group i.e. finance leases, capital incentives, rent free debtor balances
- Liaise with tax team periodically to ensure that CT, DT and group relief figures are correct
- Prepare and post accounting entries as required
- Assisting Senior Group Accountants with quarterly P&L forecasting, budgets and 5 year business plans
- Produce a quarterly Balance Sheet forecast in the required standardised format
- Assisting Business Partners with ad hoc information requests and report requirements
- Assisting the statutory accounts team with the preparation of annual accounts
- Support the Senior Group Accountants and Head of Finance with ad hoc improvement projects and reporting
- Provide external audit support in relation to allocated divisions, complying with all audit requests, and responding to queries in a timely manner
- Suggesting and implementing process improvements
- Identifying opportunities to realise efficiencies/reduce costs
Skills/ Attributes:
- Qualified Accountant (preferably ACA)
- Knowledge of core accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills

- Strong time keeping skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective team player and a flexible approach
