Based: Blackburn

Our client are a fantastic, high-growth business in the leisure industry based in Blackburn. An exciting opportunity reporting into the Financial Controller, has arisen. This role reports into an ACA qualified Head of Finance, providing a strong mentor and succession plan for future growth.


The business are well known for their flexible & supportive approach internally and externally and we are looking to find someone keen to enhance their career in this environment. This opportunity will allow you to build on your current knowledge whilst gaining a wider breadth of financial accounting and commercial exposure in a high growth business
Role:

  • To carry out balance sheet analysis, control account and other reconciliation work
  • To assist in the production of accurate period end management accounts
  • To provide support in the production of the year end accounts
  • To provide support to the Finance Manager as required
  • To assist with analysis queries
  • Assist with monthly update and reconciliation of Fixed Asset Register
  • Monitoring of approved capital authorisations and setting up of assets on the system
  • To assist with the compilation and issue of trading statistics for the company
  • To assist with the preparation of the VAT return
  • Preparation of excise duty and other HMRC returns
  • To carry out audits across numerous sites
