Based: Burnley

Salary: highly dependent on experience, flexible office/home working, flexible working hours, enhanced pension and good benefits

Our client is a leading social housing provider based in East Lancashire. The business has a number of other companies forming their group, working in partnership with people across all industries to provide the best service possible to their clients and customers. Due to a recent restructure, we are looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to work in a new role within Treasury and Financial Accounting.

Role:

  • Working with the corporate finance team to provide services internally and externally
  • Supporting in the delivery of business planning and treasury ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for submissions
  • Managing a small team of 3, overseeing banking and credit control
  • Building strong relationships with wider finance and the group business service team
  • Supporting on process improvement projects including system upgrades and implementations - continuous improvement across finance
  • Ensuring compliance with treasury policy, regular monitoring and reporting
  • Producing financial returns to the regulators
  • Overseeing cash flow monitoring systems and processes to meet cash requirements for wider group
  • Ensuring adequate financial controls are in place that control account reconciliations are carried out timely and discrepancies investigated
  • Attending meetings with wider finance team (corporate and operational)

Experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified considered
  • Experience in social housing is essential
  • Cashflow forecasting experience essential
