Financial Accountant - First or second time mover

Our client are an expanding business based in Blackburn, founded in 1990 the business has grown from strength to strength. After a hugely successful few years, they now sit at £100m TO through organic and strategic growth and have some exciting plans for the next few years to continue to grow through further acquisitions. Working with both the public and private sector, this is the perfect role for a qualified Financial Accountant who wants to join a motivating company offering fantastic exposure. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone wating to make their first move from practice or someone who has experience of PLC accounting.


Role:

  • Support the Director of Financial Operations in managing the Group's financial reporting obligations, assisting with the preparation and lodgement of compliant full year and half year Group consolidation and Group statutory accounts, under IFRS.
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated accounts.
  • Liaison with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Cash forecasting and monitoring of banking covenant
  • Contribute to development of financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
  • Ensure reporting functions and responses to ad hoc requests for financial related information are appropriately delivered.
  • Undertake a range of other activities within the Finance function, in conjunction with other Finance stakeholders.


Experience:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Experience with month end accounts
  • Able to work to deadlines with good communication skills
  • Strong excel skills
