Finance Team Lead

Senior Accounts Assistant/Finance Team Leader

Based: Chorley - hybrid (3 days from home) & flexible hours

Salary - depedent on experience PLUS excellent benefits

Our client is a well known charity based in Chorley, with an outstanding reputation for its ongoing care and support in the community. The charity is led by a board of executive and non-executive Directors and we are looking to recruit Finance Team Leader to support the Finance Director.

As part of the role you will be responsible for 3 part time transactional finance staff and be the go to person for any finance related queries.

Role:

  • Line management of staff in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Providing motivation, support and guidance to the team and conducting appraisals and 1-2-1 meetings in line with company procedures.
  • Complete weekly bank reconciliations and review transactions and resolve queries. Identify inaccurate entries and provide training to improve accuracy.
  • Assist in the production of the management accounts by providing accurate and timely underlying transactional data and continuous review of processes to maximize effectiveness of the finance system in the production of the management accounts.
  • Respond to internal and external customers and auditors queries as required.
  • Control the customer invoicing process. Manipulate data from the CRM, check and review data for accuracy and upload into Business Central to produce customer invoices. Problem-solve any issues which occur at any point in this process.
  • To raise and process accurate ad-hoc Sales Invoices and regular monthly invoices as per the Invoice Schedule and in line with the Contracts Schedule
