Finance Manager

Finance Manager
Based: Preston
Salary: Up to 45k - flexible, hybrid working

Our client is a leading business based in Lancashire. The company have embarked on huge expansion over the last few years including numerous acquisitions for the rest of 2023 and years to come. Thy are now looking for a part qual/qbe or qualified Finance Manager to join their team, covering Maternity for 12 months. The business and team is always growing so there will be opportunities for this to become permanent.


Role:

  • Provide support to the Financial Controller and help run the day-to-day activities of the finance department.
  • Work with Finance team in providing relevant information for production of timely and accurate consolidated management accounts to specified and agreed deadline.
  • Oversee monthly Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supervision of Finance / accounts assistants
  • Manage intercompany transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure the timely return of VAT returns.
  • Banking and payments
  • Finance projects and added value work.
  • Assist with Yearend audit.


Experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA part/fully qualified or qualified by experience
  • Strong communication skills and experience in a business partnering/commercial role is essential
  • Strong Excel skills with an analytical mindset
