Finance Manager- part time (circa 3 / 4 days per week)
Location: Manchester- hybrid working
Salary: Up to £40,000
Our client is looking for a proactive, reliable Finance Manager to join their talented team. This is a permanent, part time position; hours can be relatively flexible, around circa 30 hour per week.
You will overall responsibility for the finance function, ensuring financial controls and processes continue to be appropriate and make recommendations to continuously drive improvements through systems and procedures, whilst also leading and mentoring a junior finance member of the team.
Responsibilities & duties include:
- Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts and P&L reports, ensuring costs and income are accurately reported
- Manage cash flow
- Oversee expenses and respond to complex purchase and sales ledger queries in a timely manner
- Bank reconciliation and produce weekly finance reports
- Prepare payroll for submission (outsourced)
- Oversea VAT and pension proesses
- Produce an annual budget for the SLT to review
- Enhance, streamlining and improve systems and procedures where possible
- Establishes effective and robust financial controls and assists with risk management across the business (eg. insurance renewals)
- Undertake monthly, quarterly and year end analysis across teams, sectors, services and the overall business
- Liaises with accountants in preparation of quarterly management and year end accounts as required
- Work collabatrory with the central team to deliver a fully coordinated, cohesive support function to the wider team
