Finance Manager (Part Time)

Finance Manager (Part Time)

Based: Blackburn

Salary: dependent on experience (pro-rata).

Days: flexible to suit, this role can be worked over 3, 4 or 5 days. Hours: 20-30 a week to suit the individual

Our client is a well-established group of companies based in the centre of Blackburn. A family owned business dating back to the 1970's, they have grown organically over the years and currently turnover around £30m with further growth planned. Diversifying their offerings over the years, they now have 3 divisions that make up the group. Due to continued growth, a new role has been created for a Finance Manager to work closely with the Finance Director and finance team on all things day to day finance.

Role:

  • Producing and presenting monthly management accounts for all 3 companies including balance sheet, P&L
  • Variance analysis and commentary on monthly management accounts
  • Cost centre analysis and reporting
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and providing summary reconciliation reports to the Finance Director
  • Improving and maintaining financial controls across all 3 divisions
  • Cash flow management, forecasting & reporting
  • Company budget production
  • Overseeing the completion and submission of VAT submissions to HMRC
  • Assist Finance Director with external audits
  • Assisting on projects including - new system implementation, Brexit Planning and improving processes

Experience:

  • Finance Manager/Financial Controller experience within an SME
  • Experienced with all aspects of accounts including full month end processes
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate data, extracting and identifying key issues
  • Able to build effective relationships and credibility amongst Directors/Stakeholders
  • Qualified, Part-Qualified or QBE
