Finance Manager (high growth SME)

Based: Chorley area

Salary: dependent on experience, bonus, hybrid working (2 days office, 3 home), flexible working hours, team socials, up to 30 days holidays and excellent opportunities to progress

Our client is an exciting, high growth technology business based in the Chorley area. With a highly ambitious senior leadership team and plans to double revenue year on year, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant looking to join a fantastic company that can offer strong career progression as the business continues through the next phase of their growth plans. This role will sit as number 1 in finance with initial support from a portfolio FD who is supporting in the interim. With plans to take the business to beyond £25m in the next 3 years, there is a strong opportunity for this person to progress to FC/FD quickly

Role:

  • Managing all aspects of finance for the business including day to day transactions
  • Full responsibility for monthly management accounts for review, attending monthly meetings
  • Creating MI and month end packs - working with departments to set KPI's and budgets.
  • Actively looking to implement and improve productivity, efficiencies and workings across finance
  • Budgeting and forecasting for business growth, working with the board to aid decision making
  • Financial modelling on new products, services and future plans
  • Cash flow forecasting and reporting, presenting to the SLT
  • P&L management, balance sheet and posting journals
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Overseeing all activities including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reviewing payroll reconciliations, month end journals and highlighting any discepancies
  • Processing supplier payments and bank reconciliations

Experience:

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified
  • SME experience is essential. Tech/SAAS experience desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience implementing and streamlining processes and creating efficiencies
  • Hands on, able to get stuck in, delegate work and build a finance team over time
  • Enthusiastic and keen to grow with the business
  • Strong communication skills to work with people across various departments and liaise with the SLT on a regular basis
